Adrienne Delaney is a writer and novelist, who was the wife of wealthy magazine photographer Donald Gordon. She moved with her husband to the old Carnovasch Estate after her husband bought the island. Adrienne appears as the main protagonist in Phantasmagoria, but was only mentioned in Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh.

Biography[]

Adrienne was originally born in Boston, Massachusetts. She later to became a writer for the mystery novel "Blue Moon Rising". She met magazine photographer Donald Gordon and soon had a relationship until he proposed to her a day before Christmas and married thereafter. Donald soon bought the island of the Carnovash Estate and moved in, hoping to help her inspire to start writing her new book.

Once they moved in, Adrienne began suffering from nightmares about the house and being killed by torture devices. She began exploring the estate and experienced strange phenomena such as the hands coming out the bed, floating entities above the baby crib, and voices echoing around the estate.

After some time exploring, she found upsetting letters from the previous residents and a bricked off chapel behind a fireplace. In the process, she accidentally unleashed a demon trapped within a box beneath a cursed book which then posessed her husband. Adrienne was then left to face the demon herself, sending it back where it came in an effort to save her husband and in the process, solving the mystery of what happened to the previous owners.

Appearance[]

Throughout the game, Adrienne wears an orange sweater with black high-rise jeans and white sneakers.

Adrienne appears to be somewhere around her 20's to 30's although her age is never revealed in the game. Adrienne has long dirty-blonde hair that reaches to her back, with lopsided bangs and a portion of her hair tied back with a beret.

Adrienne's beauty attracts unwanted attention from Robert Thompkins.

Phantasmagoria II: A Puzzle Of Flesh[]

Though no appearances were made after Phantasmagoria. in the sequel, in the mail a postcard is received advertising her latest book. it is most likely after escaping the island, she later went on to write a new book, "Coping with Loss" after her encounters on the island.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Although she and Don were married, she still keeps her maiden name. This is not exceptional, for married female authors and actresses often keep their maiden names.
